I should add, though - I think there was remorse. After finally getting to bed at about 10pm, she woke up crying and came out of her room at about midnight. When I went downstairs, she was sitting on the steps and said "Mama, I'm sorry I painted all over my body." Poor little thing. She also seemed to feel a bit bad when she saw her room in the daylight this morning...pretty much covered with white handprints. SIGH.
